Privacy policy

This policy explains how AWET processes personal data through its website, training services and AWET LEARNING.

Data controller

AfterWork English Tutoring, a sole proprietorship operated by Aicha Niah, determines the purposes and essential means of processing. Requests must be sent to privacy@awet-learning.com. AWET makes the relevant decisions and may ask its technical provider to perform the necessary operations.

Grounds for processing

  • pre-contractual steps requested when a person contacts AWET;
  • delivery and administration of the agreed training;
  • legal obligations applying to AWET;
  • security, continuity and reasonable improvement of the service;
  • express agreement where required, including optional notifications and enrolment of a child.

Recipients and providers

Data is available only to AWET, relevant trainers, the learner or representative where applicable, and necessary providers. AWET does not sell data or disclose it to partners for commercial prospecting.

International transfers

Because some providers are established or may operate outside Senegal, personal data may be transferred internationally. The categories of providers, their roles and known locations are listed above. For questions about a transfer or its safeguards, contact privacy@awet-learning.com.

Children

AWET does not allow a child to self-register. AWET creates the account after receiving dated written authorisation from a parent or legal representative. This covers necessary learning functions, including activities, submissions, voice answers and supervised conversations with trainers or the intended group. A child’s data is never used for advertising.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your data, that processing cease, or that data be deleted or anonymised where possible. Write to privacy@awet-learning.com. AWET responds within a maximum of 30 days. Identity is checked proportionately; additional evidence is requested only where serious doubt exists and is retained no longer than needed.

Security

AWET applies measures appropriate to the service, including authentication, secure cookies, role and course access restrictions, encrypted communications, file controls, backups, logging and data minimisation in monitoring tools.

Short information at collection points

Contact

AWET uses the information entered to respond to your request and follow up on the relevant project. Requests without enrolment are deleted 12 months after the last conversation.

Account

AWET uses your information to secure your account, organise training and monitor progress.

Child

The parent or legal representative authorises account creation and supervised activities, work, results, voice answers and learning conversations in writing.

Voice

The recording is used for the learning activity, remains available to authorised people and is deleted no later than 12 months after training.

Policy updates

This policy may change with the service or applicable rules. Material changes will be communicated to users by an appropriate means.

This translation is provided for accessibility. In the event of any inconsistency, the French version shall prevail.
